Ouch' that hurt

As I sit in
this Chair trembling with fear
Trying not
to let it get as far as a tear
“How did
you do this” my dentist said to me
It was a
caramel choc said I with my cup of tea
“Well I
dunno’, it might have to come out
I’ll try
and save it, here’s the injection, don’t shout”
Trying not
to tremble, I feel the needle’s in
Now I can’t
even feel me lips or the end of me chin
I hear the
noise of the drill but I feel no pain
I shan’t
eat those chocs in a hurry again
Be brave
now is running through my mind
Whilst he
checks to see what else he can find
Well a
clean and polish then that will do for today
That will
be £120 pounds please I hear him say
“Are you
having a laugh, have you filled it with gold
No it’s my
new prices else this practise will be sold”
“It’s the
rising costs and with the taxes I have to pay
I am sorry
to charge but my rent is due today
And if I
don’t cough up, you will lose your dentist too
So pay up
and smile, else you’ll have something else to chew”
So I force
a grin and pay up, seems I have no choice
Bang goes
my Friday night out shouts my inner voice
That’ll
teach me not to buy any chocs or sweets again
Else I will
be saying Ouch’ that hurt, am I going insane
