Poems and strange mumblings

My Memories.

I moved here Eleven years ago on the 6th April 1996.

From my flat in Manchester, I decided to upsticks.

I found this house in Clarksfield with its bright red door

Its character and its beauty attracted me even more.

A special place I thought this, and I was not wrong you see

The years here have been kind, and brought many a smile to me.

Its part of a town called Oldham, with its magnificent shops

The people here are cheery and welcome you at each stop.

Many friends I have made here, and will always be that way

To stay in touch is my aim, whatever the future may say.

The summers here are glorious, we get the best we are told

but the winters make you freeze cause they are so very cold.

Its only 9 miles from Manchester, this busy city truly amazes me

Full of beauty and splendour, its place in history always will be.

Sadly I must leave now and new roads I must start to take

But time wont let the memories go as a new life I start to make.
