It was one Friday afternoon when it happened to me

 At the Supermarket as usual for the weekly groceries you see

So I picked up my trolley cart, the only one left in the bay

It seemed a bit wobbly and it’s got no vegetable tray

With no choice off I go and enter through the swing doors

Plenty to get and short of time, oh’ look at those delicious crab claws

It was on the vegetable section when the trouble began to start

I had hit the cauliflower boxes, with the corner of my cart

Look out I heard someone shout they are all rolling down the aisle

They will end up on the meat counter all in a mashed up pile

My embarrassment is obvious as my face goes scarlet red

How I wish I was at home with a nice cup of tea instead

Well I manage to sort the cauliflowers and proceed once more

Being careful this time so nothing else ends up on the floor

I get all my vegetables and am now in the bread stall

All of a sudden I hear a crash again, bread rolls are starting to fall

It was not me I was nowhere near I said this time

The Manager glares as if I have committed a crime

Now feeling quite upset as everyone starts to stare

I decide to quickly move on as fast as I dare

On the last aisle now, just pop and juice to get

But yes you have guessed it, another disaster to be met

Pop bottles this time left on a corner of the floor

I didn’t see them; crash they were rolling towards the door

I am now very flustered, its this wobbly trolley cart

With it’s jerking and stopping every time I try to start

I hurry to the check out and pay as fast as I can

Don’t want to meet up again with that angry Manager man.

So when you go shopping always check your trolley wheels

They can cause you lots of trouble, and you’ll end up with no meals

You may send the vegetables crashing and bread and pop as well
